Bali GLP-1 supply tactical update May 2026: what's actually in stock at each clinic this month

BPOM intermittency means the existing Bali buyers guide gets stale fast. This is the May 2026 supply-state tactical · per-clinic Mounjaro and Ozempic stocking, the most-current expat-routable picks, and the Bangkok-hop fallback when the nomad-clinic layer has gaps.

The Bali GLP-1 picture moves faster than the buyers-guide cadence captures. BPOM (Indonesian customs) tightened import enforcement in late 2025 and supply has been intermittent since · what was in stock in February is not in stock in May, and what was unavailable last quarter is back. This post is the tactical layer · what each clinic actually has on the shelf in May 2026, with the picking rules a Bali-resident or visitor needs.

For the regulatory frame and the four-clinic landscape, the Bali GLP-1 buyer's guide is the anchor read. This is the "this month" delta.

May 2026 supply state per clinic

Pulled from clinic intake-line confirmations + the /supply tracker entries from the past 14 days.

| BIMC Hospital (Kuta + Nusa Dua) | Stable · BPOM-import current | Stable | Intermittent · waiting on next BPOM clearance | Stable | | Body Tonic Clinic (Canggu) | Tight · last shipment Apr, next expected late May | Stable | Not stocking | Available case-by-case | | Cocoon Medical Spa (Seminyak) | Tight · same supply window as Body Tonic | Stable | Not stocking | Available | | Siloam Hospitals (multi-location Bali) | Stable · hospital-network supply chain | Stable | Intermittent | Stable | | Kasih Ibu Hospital (Denpasar) | Stable | Stable | Intermittent | Stable |

The pattern: international hospitals (BIMC, Siloam, Kasih Ibu) carry Mounjaro and Ozempic with steadier supply because the BPOM-import paperwork at the hospital tier is more institutional and the queue position is more predictable. The Canggu nomad-clinic layer (Body Tonic, Cocoon) runs in 4-to-6-week supply waves with gaps when a BPOM clearance is delayed.

Wegovy specifically has been the most intermittent across all five clinics. If your protocol is Wegovy-specific, BIMC + Siloam are the most likely to have it in any given month, but you should call ahead to confirm before flying to Bali for the prescription.

The picking rule in May 2026

For a Bali-resident expat or nomad currently in-region:

1. Mounjaro · BIMC or Siloam if you want the stablest supply + hospital infrastructure. Body Tonic if you are in Canggu and the nomad-clinic Stripe-pay convenience matters more than the supply-tightness risk. Confirm stock by phone before the appointment. 2. Ozempic · any of the five works. Pick by location convenience. 3. Wegovy · BIMC first call, Siloam second. If both are out, Bangkok-hop is the cleaner answer. 4. Saxenda · any clinic. Indonesia has had Saxenda steadily since 2023.

For a visitor in Bali for a short stay who needs a refill:

  • Have a current Mounjaro or Ozempic prescription from elsewhere: BIMC or Siloam can typically dispense to a visitor with the prescription documentation. International-patient ops at both are familiar with the paperwork.
  • Need a fresh prescription: Body Tonic, Cocoon, BIMC, and Family Medical Bali can all do consult-led prescribing in 1 to 2 days. Plan for a 4-week supply rather than longer; longer supplies are case-by-case and depend on BPOM-import availability that day.

When to skip Bali entirely

Three scenarios where the Bangkok hop beats the Bali clinic for a Bali-resident:

1. You are on Wegovy specifically and Bali is in a stock gap. A 4-hour Bali-Bangkok flight beats waiting 3 to 6 weeks for the next BPOM clearance. 2. You want a 12-week supply rather than 4-week. Bali clinics are conservative on supply duration during the BPOM-intermittency period; Bangkok premium hospitals will write longer scripts for established patients. 3. You want the JCI-hospital-grade supply chain for your refill. BIMC is JCI-accredited but the broader Bangkok premium-hospital tier (Bumrungrad, Samitivej, BNH, BDMS Wellness) is a deeper layer if you specifically want that infrastructure.

The Bangkok-hop playbook covers the cross-border mechanics from Bali (DPS-BKK 4-hour flight, USD 180 to 320 round-trip).

What we are watching

BPOM has signaled in early-2026 industry communications that the import tightening on GLP-1 is being reviewed, with possible relaxation in late 2026 or early 2027. The current state is not the long-term state; the matchmaker will route accordingly when the supply picture stabilizes.

In the meantime: this post gets refreshed monthly. If you need real-time supply state per clinic, the /supply tracker pulls clinic-confirmed availability with a freshness timestamp. For supply state outside Bali, the same tracker covers Bangkok, Singapore, Hanoi, HCMC, and the rest of the SE Asia matrix.

The full Bali clinic scorecards on the 11-signal rubric live at /vendor. The matchmaker quiz at /quiz routes Bali-resident users by current supply state + budget signal, so the recommendation reflects what is actually available the week you take the quiz.
