The four expat-facing channels
FV Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) is the longest-standing expat-grade option with on-site endocrinology and a compounding pharmacy partner. Vinmec International Healthcare System runs hospitals in HCMC, Hanoi, and Da Nang with English-speaking GP and weight-management programs. Family Medical Practice (HCMC, Hanoi, Da Nang) is the family-medicine-style expat GP network and prescribes through partner pharmacies. Raffles Medical Vietnam (HCMC, Hanoi) extends the Singapore Raffles brand and is the closest you get to Singapore-grade workflow without the Singapore price.
What you actually pay
Compounded semaglutide across FV, Vinmec, and Family Medical sits in the VND 4,000,000 to 7,500,000 per month range (roughly $160 to $300 USD). Brand Wegovy when in stock at FV runs VND 6,500,000 to 9,000,000 ($265 to $370). Initial consultation at FV or Vinmec runs VND 800,000 to 2,500,000 ($35 to $105). Raffles Medical Vietnam prices roughly 30 to 50 percent above the others. Mounjaro is not yet broadly stocked through the expat clinics in Vietnam as of April 2026 because of Vietnam's tirzepatide import-registration timeline; this should ease through 2026.
Regulatory standing in Vietnam
Bộ Y Tế (Vietnamese Ministry of Health) regulates pharmaceutical importation and prescribing. Wegovy is registered with limited import allocation. Tirzepatide registration is in process but stocks are thin. Compounded semaglutide via licensed Vietnamese compounding pharmacies operates under standard prescription pharmacy rules; the pharmacies the expat clinics partner with are typically Bộ Y Tế–registered. Avoid Facebook and Zalo seller channels; Vietnamese customs has tightened on grey-market pharmaceutical imports through 2025.
How Vietnam compares for cost-sensitive expats
Per-month USD-equivalent in early 2026: Vietnam $160 to $370, Thailand $180 to $450, Bali $230 to $420, Singapore $410 to $670, UK $190 to $325. Vietnam is meaningfully cheaper for compounded semaglutide than the regional median, which is why HCMC and Hanoi are popular medical-tourism destinations for cost-sensitive nomads on long stays. The trade-off versus Bangkok is mainly product breadth: Vietnam is heavier on compounded semaglutide, lighter on brand Mounjaro. For tirzepatide users specifically, Bangkok remains the better channel until Vietnamese registration completes.
