What this tool does not tell you.
- Whether you should take it. That is a clinician decision. BMI, comorbidities, contraindications, prior history, and your own goals determine fit. The calculator assumes fit already established.
- Which dose you will tolerate. Roughly 45 percent of SURMOUNT-1 users did not tolerate the full 15 mg top dose. The ramp is a plan, not a guarantee. You may plateau at 5 mg or 10 mg and still get the outcome.
- The muscle loss question. Weight loss on tirzepatide includes roughly 25 percent lean mass in absence of protein + resistance intervention. Attia AMA #64 is the primary-source reading on this.
- Post-discontinuation weight regain. SURMOUNT-4 shows users regain weight within 12 months of stopping. This is the compound working as designed, not a failure of the compound.
