What is legal in the UK, and what Panya will route.

The MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) classifies tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic) as prescription-only medicines. Both are licensed for UK use and prescribable through NHS specialist services and a regulated private telehealth market. Research peptides (BPC-157, TB-500, others) are not formally scheduled but are not approved for human use; customs scrutiny on imports has tightened through 2025.

What is legal in the UK

Three routes that stay on the right side of the line.

Route 1

NHS prescription via tier-3 specialist weight management

NICE guidance TA875 (tirzepatide) and TA875/TA664 (semaglutide / Wegovy) restrict NHS provision to BMI thresholds + comorbidity criteria, dispensed through tier-3 specialist weight management services. GP referral is the entry point. Waiting lists in 2026 run 6 to 18 months in most ICBs. Free at point of use if you qualify.

Route 2

Private telehealth from a regulated UK provider

MHRA-registered prescribers including Voy, Numan, Boots Online Doctor, Pharmacy2U, Superdrug Online Doctor, Lloyds Online Doctor, and Asda Online Doctor offer Mounjaro and Wegovy on private prescription. Cost runs £190 to £325 per month for the standard 5 to 10 mg dose. The product is registered, cold-chain is guaranteed, and the consultation is genuine (BMI + medical history check). Panya scores these against the 11-signal rubric and routes to the ones that score 70+.

Route 3

Travel and use abroad

If you spend time in Thailand, the UAE, the US, or another country where Panya can route, the recommendation fits that country's rules. A legally purchased prescription medication brought back into the UK as a personal-use supply (up to 3 months) under the Border Force personal-import allowance is generally tolerated when accompanied by a doctor's letter and original packaging. Larger quantities or regular pattern of import draw scrutiny.

What Panya will not do from the UK

We do not route research-chem channels.

Research peptides (BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c, dihexa, the non-GLP-1 catalog) are documented at panya.health/peptide for transparency. Panya does not yet route to vendors for these compounds anywhere, and we will not route them into the UK under any framing. The MHRA does not approve research peptides for human use; HMRC and Border Force have tightened scrutiny on bulk imports through 2025; and the affiliate routing on non-GLP-1 vendors is gated on lawyer review and payment- processor selection regardless of region. UK users browsing /peptide pages get the same documentation everyone else gets.

What Panya will do from the UK

Match you to a vendor that scores.

UK telehealth has matured into a real market with real-product regulated supply chains. Take the quiz from a UK IP and you get matched against the 11-signal rubric to a UK-registered prescriber. Panya scorecards live for Voy, Numan, Boots, and the rest of the major UK names; the price band, supply state, consultation depth, and prescriber-letter quality are all in the audit. Where a vendor scores below the 70/100 routing threshold, we say so on the scorecard rather than skip-listing.
