The regulatory check
Voy is registered with the Care Quality Commission, the body that regulates healthcare providers in England. Their dispensing pharmacy partners are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Prescriptions are issued by GMC-registered prescribers based on a structured online consultation. None of this is unique in the UK telehealth market, but all of it is required and all of it checks out for Voy. They are not a flash-in-the-pan operator, and they are not the regulatory grey zone some users assume of telehealth.
The user-experience reality
The consultation is asynchronous: a structured questionnaire, sometimes a short video review, then a prescriber decision. For a straightforward case with BMI 30+ and no major comorbidities this is fast (24 to 72 hours). For complex cases (T2D, cardiovascular history, eating-disorder history, pregnancy considerations) the asynchronous flow is thinner than a face-to-face consultation. Real GLP-1 prescribing benefits from clinical depth on dose titration; Voy's nurse-led check at week 4 is included and is the part most users find useful.
Where Voy falls short on the 11-signal rubric
Panya's audit gave Voy strengths on regulatory standing, women-led prescribing, and price transparency. Weaker marks on cold-chain disclosure (their public materials describe shipping but not specific temperature-logged carrier SLAs) and on longitudinal-retention data (limited published outcomes from real-world Voy users beyond their own marketing).
